Massage will help relieve restless legs symptoms

If you have tight muscles, you’ll find massage helps your restless legs. The areas to concentrate on will be different for everyone but try these areas first – the top of your foot and the muscle on the front of your lower leg (the tibialis anterior muscle) where it meets your shin bone. Push into the muscles slowly and as firmly as you feel comfortable.

A professional massage is great but not always practical or affordable. Aim to give your muscles a quick rub for a couple of minutes before bedtime. You can use your hands but they can tire easily when massaging large muscles. Try lying down and using the heel of your other foot to massage your opposite leg and foot.
